Wave B · offer stub · most complete

COI & binder gaps — before the certificate leaves the desk.

Independent P&C agencies: paste a binder or certificate of insurance draft (or load our synthetic sample). BIND returns a labeled gap checklist for named insured, additional insured language, waiver of subrogation, cancellation notice days, and limits vs request. Your AMS stays system of record.

Hard rails. Not legal advice · not an E&O opinion · not an Epic / AMS360 / Hawksoft replacement · not Policy Checking · not underwriting · not carrier binding authority. Statute and ACORD framing are research labels for gap spotting only. Magnet Stripe HOLD — stub SKUs stay mailto.

1 · What it is

A COI / binder hygiene overlay — not an AMS.

BIND is a Wave B offer stub: a paper/ink seat (or toothpick pack) that sits beside the producer / CSR desk. It is presentation-complete for Zoom and booth — not a full SaaS, not Epic Policy Checking, not carrier binding.

2 · What it does

Overlay QA — AMS stays SoR

1. Paste binder / COI text

No AMS marketplace install. Browser intake of certificate / binder language and the request email. PDF binaries are refused.

2. Gap checklist

Heuristic rows: named insured match, AI / primary & noncontributory phrasing, WOS, notice days, limit vs request, description of ops.

3. Human still owns send

Producer / CSR / E&O counsel decide. BIND does not certify the COI, bind coverage, or mail the certificate.

4. Seat or toothpick

Monthly seat for the desk — or a one-shot toothpick pack while you test the wedge. Mailto hold on both.

3 · Honest compare · never a SoR replacement

What BIND sits next to — not above

Epic, AMS360, Hawksoft, Applied, and Policy Checking already run the agency. BIND does not peacock over them. SoftPro / AppFolio / Clio / PowerSchool are other-category SoRs — same rule: we never claim replacement.

On the desk today What it already does Honest limit BIND (this stub)
Epic / AMS360 / Hawksoft System of record. Clients, policies, certificates issued from the AMS. SoR is not an exception tray on this draft’s face vs request email. We attach hygiene. We do not write back. We do not replace the AMS.
Policy Checking / UW workbenches Real checking against submissions and forms. Different job. BIND is certificate-face vs request — not underwriting. Checklist labels only. Not binding authority. Not Policy Checking.
Spreadsheet / eyeball Cheap, producer-owned, no vendor lock. Rows drift. Easy to skip AI / WOS / notice days on a Friday COI. Same job, live on a blotter — not a prettier spreadsheet product.
BIND seat / toothpick Labeled gaps · REFUSE on empty / thin / PDF · human owns send. Heuristic only. No E&O opinion. No ACORD licensing theater. SettleUp suite module or standalone inquiry. AMS stays SoR.

5 · Breakable demo · refuse is the feature

Try to break it. The desk should hold.

Empty paste, thin paste, and PDF upload are supposed to REFUSE — loud, no invented insureds, limits, or endorsements. That is resilience, not a crash. Sample path is synthetic and watermarked. Presentation-complete — not full SaaS.

Blotter

Paste COI / binder text

Text only. PDF is refused — we do not parse binaries or invent counsel PDFs.

Human owns send. BIND does not mail, endorse, or bind. Watermarked demo for booth / Zoom.

6 · Suite / dual-mode

Module beside SettleUp — or standalone inquiry

Convergence over purity

BIND is a SettleUp suite module that can sit beside Pilot’s refuse-gate, or a standalone seat/toothpick for an agency that is not buying the aisle today. Primary live checkout is SettleUp Pilot. Magnet / sibling Stripe stays HOLD — BIND SKUs are mailto only.

4 · Pricing · ROI soft-framed

Seat first · toothpick optional

Seat · suggested

$79–249 / mo

CSR / producer desk overlay. Mailto hold — no live Stripe on this magnet.

  • Monthly blotter beside the AMS
  • Same refuse rails as the demo
  • Not Epic Policy Checking

Toothpick pack

$29–79

One binder/COI QA pass while you test. Same rails. Same non-goals.

  • One-shot hygiene pass
  • Magnet Stripe HOLD
  • Human owns send

Labeled assumption · not a kill claim

If a CSR recovers 4 hours/month at $45/hr fully loaded = $180 desk time, vs a mid-band seat of ~$149/mo → about 1.2×. A story only holds if about 10 hours/month at that rate are actually saved. Toothpick $29–79 is a one-shot: it “pays” only if it catches one reissue you would have eaten. Assumptions — not a guarantee, not E&O savings, not a kill metric.

7 · Rails · kill · human owns send

Kill: After live offer + ≥20 qualified agency touches, if $0 seat or toothpick cash and buyers only ask for Epic Policy Checking / AMS marketplace install → freeze BIND spend. Fade if E&O counsel theater blocks every stranger sale.

Non-goals

  • Not an Epic, AMS360, Hawksoft, or Applied replacement (SoR stays theirs)
  • Not Policy Checking / underwriting / binding authority
  • Not legal advice or E&O certification
  • Not carrier portal automation or ACORD form licensing theater
  • Not Wave C / MGA AUTHORITY product
  • Not auto-send — human owns every certificate that leaves the desk

Not legal advice

BIND is an educational / QA checklist stub. It is not legal advice and does not create an attorney–client relationship. It does not replace your AMS, carrier, or E&O counsel. Output is not a determination that a COI is adequate, bindable, or safe to send. Human owns send. COMMON Notice is frozen and unrelated. No LLC / entity claims on this page. No counsel-blessed PDFs are invented here.
